One of the greatest movies of all times is celebrating its 20th birthday right about now, so it’s quite amazing that we got to stand on some of the locations used in the movie exactly two decades later during our sceneframing roadtrip.
Forrest Gump has got to be everyone’s favorite movie, right? Or at least in everyone’s top10?
The exact spot in the desert wasn’t an easy one to find after 20 years and some alterations to the sides of the road, but I think we managed to get pretty close. It was hot, it was a bit scary due to occasional cars approaching from the nothingness at the speed of rockets, yet it was one of the most amazing places we’ve ever set our travelling feet.
And what about Lincoln Memorial… that place has some pretty amazing history and serious hey-I’ve-seen-this-in-the-movies vibe to it.
We spent a good while just strolling around, people-watching, feeling the vibe of Washington and all the monuments and memorials and tourists and the pool. And then we got to work. And took these sceneframes.
Oh, Jenny! One of the most romantic scenes in the movies ever.
