Our fascination with Canada began with Vancouver BC, a filming location to many, many films and television series. It’s like the other Hollywood, and because of that a real Mecca for us film lovers. But during our first ever visit in 2014, we realized it’s much, much more than that. Our biggest love on television is of course, CW’s Supernatural.

And even though the show is about two brothers who roadtrip across the US while hunting monsters and ghosts, it’s actually all filmed in Vancouver and the surrounding areas. And once you visit the city, you’ll quickly understand why: this city has everything, which means it can pretty much be disguised as anything else, too. It’s a wide area of neighborhoods, sights and scenery that all look different from each other.

Vancouver has incredible beaches both for sunbathing and trekking, mountains with snow, impressive, silent old forests, a hundred parks, beautiful architecture in many, many shapes and modern shopping for those who seek it. There are countless activities for everyone, big events to keep you entertained and enough nature and forests to let you get away from all the buzz.
