Welcome to an absolute gigglefest! But beware: smiling and laughing for two and a half hours straight will make your face hurt.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels ran in Savoy Theatre, London West End, Mon 10 Mar – Sat 29 Nov 2014
It was my first time ever at the Savoy and wow, the theatre is an experience in itself. The Savoy Theatre first opened in 1881 and although a fire destroyed a lot of it in 1990 and big parts of it had to be restored, it still gives you those wonderful chills that you only get when you feel like you’ve been suddenly thrown back in time.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is based on the classic comedy film starring Sir Michael Caine andSteve Martin and works extremely well on stage. I absolutely adore the cast! Three time Olivier and Tony Award winner Robert Lindsay has a great combination of boyish, yet classy charm and charisma and the chemistry between him and comedy man Rufus Houndis a fun thing to watch. Throw in brilliant Samantha Bond and you’ve got yourself a real treat.
There’s just one thing we miss after seeing this show.. the soundtrack. We want it, we need it!
